Once again I am honoured to be president of the Bobcaygeon Fall Fair. I come from a long line of volunteers and fair members. My grandfather Joe Wilson volunteered at the fair for many years and was known for showing his hackney horses. Following in his footsteps, and those of my parents, I began to volunteer my time with an event that interested me - the truck & tractor pull. Since that time I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside many great members of our community on our fairboard who are driven by a shared desire to keep our fair alive for the next generation. I hope to continue to watch our fair grow and succeed with a strong foundation in our traditions and the fresh ideas of new volunteers joining our team.
Please consider learning about how you can get more involved with your favourite fair events. Helping hands and new ideas are the keys to ensuring our long term success. Our fairboard is made up of many different committees who work hard throughout the year to plan fun and educational programs, entertainment and exhibits each fall. I encourage you to come out with family and friends to enjoy all that the fair has to offer ... from the midway and vendors, to the livestock shows, homecraft, and talent show- there is something for everyone to enjoy! Finally, i would like to extend a huge thank you to our fairboard and many hard working volunteers for their tireless efforts and dedication. Without these people we would not have the fair we all look forward to each fall.
Please join us in celebrating 161 years of the Bobcaygeon Fall Fair!
