There are two routes (~3 hours in length):

​

• North Route - Travelling through the former North Verulam, Somerville and Harvey Townships

​​

• South Route - Travelling through the former South Verulam and Emily Townships​

​

How does it work?

​Register in-person or online to receive tour directions and questionnaire.

Answer the questionnaire in full and submit them to the Fair Office when complete.

Submissions will be judged by mid-October.

Winners receive "bragging rights" and will be announced on our website!

 

Rules & Courtesies​

​

• No cost to register, donations accepted

• This is an untimed tour that can be done at your own pace

• Each vehicle will assign a team captain and the captain will be responsible for their team. Participants can only be on one team per tour (i.e., North and South)

• Obey the rules of the road and the Highway Traffic Act

• A significant part of this trip will be on country roads; if you meet or follow any farm machinery on the road, please give them time and space to get to their destination

• Do not trespass on property (climbing fences, opening gates /doors) unless accompanied by or given permission to by the property owner

• Some farms hold “farm gate” sales. If they are open, you're welcome to visit. However, if they are closed, please arrange to come back another time.

• Be aware that the animals on the farms are NOT pets - don't approach them

• There is no need to walk in a roadside ditch or climb a fence to complete this tour

• Be aware of poison ivy in ditches and edges of fields
